We’re getting pretty sick with the on and off about this light-duty Cummins diesel engine for the Dodge Ram 1500 (honestly, it’s the last thing on our minds and we could care less). Last we heard, the diesel Ram was delayed until 2011; however, today it’s been reported that Chrysler disclosed the termination of its diesel deal with Cummins as a part of a group of supplier rejections filed Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

Dodge Viper, Chrysler PT Cruiser, and Chrysler 300C Road Mice - Computer Mouse
Still sleep in a race car bed? Then Road Mice is for you. These mice are faithful replicas of cars such as the Chevy Corvette and Ford Mustang. The company behind Road Mice, Four Door Media, just announced three new models, the Dodge Viper, Chrysler PT Cruiser, and Chrysler 300C. Considering the financial threats to Chrysler's existence, those models might not be around long as actual cars, so the mice may prove to be collectors' items.
From a functional point of view, these are wireless, optical mice, with a scroll wheel that might mar the car's design just a *** Ergonomically, a VW Beetle would probably work best, but that model isn't offered.

Dodge Circuit EV Specs and Test Drive
Father of Lotus, Colin Chapman, said his secret to engineering racing and sports cars was to "add lightness." An intriguing phrase, to say the least. And one that might well have been lost in time by similar mutterings made by countless other automotive impresarios had Mr. Chapman's cars not kicked ass on the track and the street.
We mention Chapman because underneath the polyester bodywork of the Dodge Circuit, there is large helping of Lotus. Specifically the Lotus Europa, a slightly larger, fixed-roof Elise derivative. But the Europa's 197-hp, 2.0L GM-sourced turbo I-4 and six-speed manual gearbox have been dumped. In their place is a 268-hp DC permanent magnet motor driving the rear wheels through an 8.3:1 planetary reduction gearset. While the base Europa engine is rated 200 lb-ft of torque, Dodge claims the Circuit motor is good for (swallows deeply) 480 lb-ft...Continued

2009 Dodge Challenger SE Rallye Package with 5 Speed Transmission
At a Southern California Mopar event this weekend, Dodge unveiled a new Rallye package for the Challenger SE and announced that starting next month, all V-6 Challengers will come with a five-speed automatic transmission, replacing the four-speed.
Chrysler LX Platform Chief Engineer Tony Elias told fans at the fourth annual Spring Festival of LXs that Chrysler had listened to their feedback and has now replaced that old four-speed automatic transmission found in V-6 Challengers with the same five-speed automatic found in V-8 Challengers, which features an Auto Stick manual shifting feature. Elias said that, starting in April, all V-6 Challengers will be built with the five-speed and that customers can begin ordering them now. Chrysler has not completed EPA testing yet, but hopes that the new transmission will return slightly better performance and fuel economy.
