Mahindra & Mahindra hopes US Tour will impress Future Car Buyers

Mahindra is poised to throw its diesel pickup trucks into U.S. market later this year, along with a diesel SUV to follow in 2010. Hoping its entry-level diesel pickup can find a home in the U.S., the Indian auto manufacturer is looking to preempt the seemingly systematic hostility aimed at oil-burners by organizing a Tour Across America event that will provide an early look at the upcoming trucks.

2010 VW GTD Diesel Hatchback Review by Motor Trend

BMW's offering of a d-suffixed alternative to its 335i has demonstrated how the Germans can take a sporting drive and power it by diesel. Now Volkswagen has done it with the GTI. At least in Europe, you can now get a Golf GTD.


It's a cut'n'paste job, consisting of the body shell and interior of a Golf GTI (available here as a 2010 model), mated to the 2010 Golf TDI clean-diesel powertrain -- but with an extra 30 horsepower, taking the corral of ponies to 170...Continued

Ugur Sahin 999hp Turbo Corvette Z03 courtesy of Mallett

We found out about the Ugur Sahin’s Z03 Concept back in 2008, when the manufacturer revealed the first in formation.


It appears that several adjustments have been made since then such as optimal engine cooling, improved downforce and new aggressive headlights. The big surprise will be under the hood, where with the help of Mallet Cars, a known tuner specialized in Corvette vehicles, a 999 hp twin turbo engine was installed.

2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee coming to the New York Auto Show

Chrysler will be providing enthusiasts with a preview of its remodeled Jeep Grand Cherokee at the New York Auto Show this week, although the SUV will not yet be sold until 2010.


This was confirmed through Chrysler’s viability plant it submitted to the US Congress two months ago. Details concerning the new SUV have been released through an official preview.
